Previously, on Moving Marsh Along...

I know, I know... another post so soon?!  I'm feeling the pressure to catch up on the last 2 years of Marsh improvements.  That, and I want to capitalize on motivation, motivation, motivation.

First stop, Julia's room.  Since Gabby was a whopping 5 weeks when we moved, she was still sleeping in a bassinet in our room.  To help smooth the transition for Julia (new sister, new house, WTF??), we wanted to hurry up and give her a room that could be all hers.

We started with this (ignore previous owner's furniture):














In a shocking turn of events, I actually loved the green and wanted to keep it.  However, Julia's room in the old house was all this:
















In deciding to keep the green, I had a good excuse to give her entire room an overhaul.  Over the next few dozen posts, I'll elaborate more about the transformation Julia's room.  For now, headed to bed!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

April 2009 - Six short weeks away from the impending arrival of our second daughter, smack in the middle of classic nesting (and denial, evidently), we made the decision to sell our first home and buy ourselves a single family home.  Ten weeks, numerous homeowner hurdles, and the birth of one bouncing baby later, we became the owners of our beautiful home on Marsh Court.  This blog is intended to document our efforts in Moving Marsh Along.

Flash forward to today - we've come a long way, but we have a long way to go.  Many of the entries in this blog, particularly up front, will refer to projects we've already undertaken.  Again, the intent is to document where we started and how far we've come.  This is the beginning...
